We would definitely return or recommend to friends.Stopped in for a Manhattan and were very pleased. There was the night we showed up and it was a good show. Jazz band up in the balcony creates a really nice atmosphere. Situated on a historic intersection in the North Beach neighborhood, patrons enjoy a beautifully restored antique bar environment with classic cocktails alongside fun, interesting food selections. What bar normally has a great Jazz Music going on a Monday night? I asked for daiquiri or Caribou Lou at that time, and they had a hard time understanding what I was saying. My wife and I stopped back for a 2nd time to this establishment on a Monday night. 8:00 PM. The food and Old fashioned drinks are served with “traditional” saloon fare like Fried Shot-and-a-beer, anyone? The venue is very cool and old school. I've been there enough where should have probably written about it while I sat at the bar. The people here are a probably 40% locals and 60% tourists, but everyone is quite friendly.Comstock has the feel of a neighborhood bar with the throw back appeal of California's GoldWhile staying in SF we came here three nights in a row for after-dinner cocktails.
